Specify the Width of Your Gable Vent The size entered here will be from outside edge to outside edge of the gable vent. Your rough opening dimension is 3" less than the dimension entered for width. Each vent has a 2 1/4" wide exterior face. |

Specify the Height of Your Gable Vent The size entered here will be from outside edge to outside edge of the gable vent. This measurement is from the highest point of the gable vent to the lowest point of the gable vent. So for a peaked top vent, pictured to the left, your total height is from the outside edge of the peak, to the very bottom of the gable vent. Your rough opening dimension is 3" less than the dimension entered for width. Each vent has a 2 1/4" wide exterior face. |

Redwood Redwood is a great alternative exterior grade lumber. It has a beautiful appearance and can be stained to bring out it's rich detail. Our Redwood Gable Vents have a 1" thick face. |

Gable Vent Mounting Options We offer two different methods for installation. Picture A (Recessed Mount) Recessed Mount instllation is for functional gable vents. This option comes with an attached louver box and mesh insect screen. The louver box is a total of 3" less than the face frame of the gable vent and is 1 7/8" in depth. Picture B (Surface Mount) Surface mount installation does not come with a louver box and is used as a decorative installation method. |
