Step 1
| Gable Vent Width |
Vent Width
This is the width of the vent at it's widest point. This dimension does not include the nailfin, J-channel, or cut-in flange. This is the total width of the gable vent.
Step 2
| Gable Vent Height |
Vent Height
This is the total height of the vent. The vent in the picture has a height of 24 1/2". If you were to order this vent you would
select "24 1/2 inches" here. |
Step 3
| Mounting Surface |
Surface Mount
This option is most common with stucco retrofit or remodel type installation. The vent is to be ordered a minimum of 2 inches larger than the rough opening so the vent can be screwed securely into place. Color matching screws are included with your order.
Brick, Stucco (Nail Fin)
This installation method is typically used on new construction. The nail fin is used to attach the gable vent to the structure. Then the stucco is sprayed on top concealing the nail fin.
Siding (J-Channel)
The J-Channel installation method is used with all types of siding. The channel allows the siding to slide inbetween the rear mounting fin and the exterior, visible fin.
| |
Recess Flange (Cut-in Flange)
This is the least common installation method. Typically used with brick installations. Please contact a representative if you are interested in this installation method.
