Eave vents, or e-vents as they are also called, are one option for intake ventilation. They are installed in the roof eaves or overhand and provide an aesthetically pleasing and efficient method of protecting your investment in your roof and attic. We have a number of styles and colors to choose from, any of which will prevent the formation of winter ice dams, validate new shingle warranties, and lower heating and cooling costs by allowing air to pass atop the roof insulation.

Eave Vent Installation Tips:

Eave vents should be installed between each rafter.

You will need 1 square foot of free vent air for each 150 square feet of attic floor space.

Eave vents are intake vents, which allow cooler air into the attic. They should be placed lower than exhaust vents, which allow warmer air to leave the attic.

Place your eave vents so that rain will not leak into the attic.

Be sure not to block your new eave vents with attic insulation.
