The 12" Balustrade System includes a selection of prominent newel posts that compliment this bold balustrade system. We offer two 12" newel post styles. If you require something minimal, we offer a newel with crisp detail. We also offer a newel with detailed raised panels.
Newels and porch posts help to define lengths of balustrade. The newel also functions as a source of stability. While anchoring the balustrade, the newel works in conjunction with reinforced rails, balusters, and rail support blocks to make the balustrade system safely secured.
As with all balustrade system components, twelve newels are crafted in polyurethane, one of today's most versatile, durable and affordable materials. Urethane molds with the crisp detail and dramatic depth necessary to recreate the classic balustrade system for modern times. Urethane balustrade components offer excellent alternatives to traditional wood or stone components. Urethane is dense and strong yet lightweight and easy to work with. It resists warping, cracking and decay. Urethane is also impervious to damage caused by termites. It also resists peeling, resulting in a balustrade system that is both beautiful and easy to maintain.
