Urethane is dense and strong yet lightweight and easy to work with. Its resistance to warping, cracking, decay, peeling and insects make it a favorite. The Florence Baluster remains virtually maintenance-free and compliments existing trim and siding. When installed with reinforced 6" rails, newels, rail support blocks, and the 4" ball space rule, the 6" Balustrade System meets and exceeds safety codes. The 4" ball space rule allows for maximum center-to-center placement while not permitting objects more than 4" wide to pass through spaces between balusters.
