The 5" Balustrade System includes a selection of newels and porch posts that allow you to further customize the appearance of your balustrade, and create a system that compliments and blends with the exterior of your home.
The 5" Balustrade System is available with two newels, including a standard newel and a newel designed for corner applications. When it comes to porch posts for the 5" system, we offer three styles. The plain porch post offers minimal detail. We offer a porch post crafted with the appearance of turned millwork in several heights. We also offer a wonderfully detailed porch post with fluting details.
5" newels and porch posts are traditional in appearance and modern in construction. They are molded in high-density polyurethane foam. Urethane offers durability, beauty, and affordability that makes it a favorite among do-it-yourselfers and professional contractors, alike. Urethane newels and porch posts remain virtually maintenance-free. They resist warping, cracking and decay. They do not require painting and can be easily cleaned.
