High-density polyurethane resists the warping, cracking peeling and decay that can lead to upkeep and the replacement of older balusters crafted in wood. The 5" Ashley Balustrade System will remain virtually maintenance-free and beautiful through the years.
When spacing the Ashley Baluster within lengths of balustrade, observe the 4" ball space rule, which allows for maximum center-to-center placement while not permitting objects of 4" in width or more to pass through spaces between balusters at any point along the baluster’s length. When installed with reinforced rails, newels and rail support blocks, and the 4" ball space rule, the 5" Ashley Balustrade System meets building and safety codes. A variety of trim and accessories are available to give the 5" Ashley Balustrade System a complete and detailed appearance.
