Looks very good,

The two pieces do not completely touch each other, so i am trying to fill in the gaps with joint compound bow.will have to sand and repaint after that. It turned out to be more hassle that if I bought a solid one piece. The back surface is rough, so there may be gaps between the ceiling and the piece. But from far away it looks good.

Shippign was quick and the item packed well,

I purchased a floral pattern ceiling medallion, constructed in two pieces and containing a 5 and 3/8" cavity for the ceiling light fixture. The medallion style was chosen to maintain the Victorian decor of our house. It was easily applied to the ceiling with two beads of construction cement and held in place overnight to ensure bonding. The small gaps between the two halves were filled with caulk and then the medallion was painted to match the ceiling color. Painting was made easier thanks to the medallion being primed. I am extremely pleased with the final look and plan to purchase additional medallions from ArchitecturalDepot for other rooms in the house. Medallions are hard to find yet ArchitecturalDepot offers a wide selection in several dimensions and styles. Shipping was quick and the item well packed. I certainly recommend this item to others.

perfect for my project,

I did not want to take out an ancient chandelier to put up a medallion, and this was perfect. i had to cut out about a 1/2" from the center edge to make it fit around the base, but once that was done construction glue and one screw on each piece were all it took to secure it, then while i was caulking around the outside i just covered the screws instead of pulling them out. took me about 1/2 hour altogether, and I've already had lots of complements on it. also, the in-store price for the one place that had this item was much higher.

I have an open floor plan. I wanted more of a focal point over the dining table. I thought a medallion would be perfect. The chandelier I purchased would not support a medallion. I neeeded one that would come seperated to fit around the chandelier. The medallions at my local stores were pricey and not atrractive enough. I was so happy to find this one. After my husband wired a heavy brass chandelier into my dining room ceiling, I decided that a ceiling medallion would look good there. He balked at undoing his hard work. Excellent workmanship - 2 parts line up perfectly. Easy to install. I returned the product, however, since the base of my fixtures was way too small for the opening of the medallion, which looked very awkward. Therefore, be sure of dimensions of everything before ordering. The same beautiful medallion is available as a one-piece, which worked much better for me, since it has a smaller center opening. Customer service was very helpful, prompt, courteous and cheerful during both the ordering process and return. Highly recommend this company and their products.
